Today’s viral video brings a heartfelt story of a few boys who wanted to play football. Here in the US we call it soccer…but I digress.

The kicker (pun intended) is that these boys lived in a small village…a floating village next to a small island where playing football was next to impossible. Of course that doesn’t stop these kids.

Watch the video and see what these boys did to real their goal.

How cool is that?

Now in the description of the video the Bank of Thailand has a kick butt tag line. “Make The Difference.” It looks like the start a branding campaign for the bank. Not sure how that went but I loved the concept and tag line.

Make the Difference

To me the video, story, and taglines hit home. Feel free to copy and share any of them.

What if nothing is impossible?”

What else is possible?”

Make the difference.”

Now if you’re like me and you like motivational videos, speeches and presentations you’ll see that there is a lot more to this than just the feel good video. I’m not that easy to where I’d just drop a fun video and leave it at that. You know I need to make a bit of a stronger point or I would not do this blog any justice at all.

What if Nothing is Impossible – The Bigger Picture

Let’s put you…your story in this video.

Start with your why!

Leadership Success Tips (1 of 10) Know Your Why

Know Your Why!

Leadership success tips 1 through 10 has begun. In this first video I share a little of my why and why your why is so important.

Why know your why?

1. It keeps you in the game until you’re successful.

2. It keeps you up at night and empowers you to push just a little more when times get tough and you don’t feel like working on it.

3. It serves your bigger purpose. Huge hint here…if you don’t have this then re-watch the video.

4. Others need to hear it.
Did that last point hit you a little awkwardly?
YES…others need to hear your vision. If you’re building any kind of business and you want to leverage attraction marketing then you need to share your bigger vision. So many people are missing this point.
The vision just got bigger” – David Wood
I shared this quote in my video for a reason. This blog that you’re on right now costs me a whopping $25 a month to run…SELF HOSTED!

When I run my other blog it’s well over $150 a month for hosting. There’s a blogging issue most people don’t tell you about. The more popular your blog gets…ie more traffic…the most the hosting costs.

This blog…this was a dream. This company Empower Network was a dream. This company with its 100% affiliate commission, incredible products and leadership factory atmosphere…yep you guessed it…it was a dream!

But every time a life is changed for the better because of Empower the dream…the vision gets bigger. And it’s people like you and me that need to know we can follow someone whose dream keeps getting bigger. It’s also why leaders STAY in empower. But that’s a post for another day.
Back to the leadership tips and why it’s important to know your why.

Here are some quick tips on how you can get some clarity around your vision and share it with others.

Clarity comes from simplifying and understanding what exactly it is that you want. When I shared my vision for bring 100 people and raising 1 million dollars all within 30 days…I’m pretty clear on that.

I know that won’t happen on my first attempt or even the 10th. But I know without a shadow of doubt that those numbers will happen AND more.

I visualize the day when the call is put out to my list and social media sites.

I can see the videos I’ll make.

I can see my assistants answering the phones and emails and schedule flights and connecting with the right people who we will be able to serve.

I can see the gather and support and encouragement our small army will be able to bring.

Simplify your vision enough so you can see yourself doing it. Over complicating it doesn’t cut it. There will be plenty of time to work out the extra details that tend to come along for the ride. For now…keep it simple.Use as many senses when forming the outcome of your vision. Make note of what the day will look like. What the weather will be. If you’re outside what are the sounds you’re going to hear. These elements deepen the reality of your dream or vision.

Be like a kid and ask yourself why. You heard me...WHY?

Why do you want this goal?

Then ask yourself 3-4 more questions. What will that get me?

After you have that answer then ask yourself again…and what will THAT get me?

Now here’s the break through…when you do this one more time that last answer is usually the best answer of all. Note…this last exercise will strengthen your belief about why you want what you want. It’s even more powerful when done with someone else…or in a mastermind session.

Final thoughts about why you should know your why.

Having clarity of vision is as powerful as breathing…both are easy to do and are required for living a fruitful life.” – Ken Pickard

P.S. What's your why?

Bohemian RhapsodyBohemian Rhapsody

It’s time to pay a little respect to this amazing song. Yes some speculation about what the words mean. But you have to admit that this epic iconic song has been etched into the minds of millions…and you’re still humming it to yourself aren’t you?

What fond memory can you share about this song Bohemian Rhapsody? You must have one? Tell you what…you can leave it in the comments below. But first lets clear the air and pay tribute to this awesome song. And that starts with the lyrics.

Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics

It’s time we set the record straight about what the words really are. Just so you know I’m not making any of this up you can go to Elyrics.net for the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I’m easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn’t really matter to me, to me

Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooo
Didn’t mean to make you cry
If I’m not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body’s aching all the time
Goodbye everybody – I’ve got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooo – (anyway the wind blows)
I don’t want to die
I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning – very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo Figaro – magnifico

But I’m just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go – will you let me go
Bismillah! No – we will not let you go – let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go – let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go – let me go
Will not let you go – let me go (never)
Never let you go – let me go
Never let me go – ooo
No, no, no, no, no, no, no -
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me
for me
for me

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby – can’t do this to me baby
Just gotta get out – just gotta get right outta here

Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters – nothing really matters to me

Anyway the wind blows…

Hopefully there’s a little light on the subject now. So if you’ve been singing the wrong words it’s ok…I forgive you. But don’t let it happen again!

Now I’m sure you totally getting into this about now and your memory is starting to come back to you. You might even find yourself recollecting where you first heard this song. Or where you saw Queen in concert.

But lets go a little deeper…it’s ok I promise!

Queen Live –  Bohemian Rhapsody

I bet that did it huh? the euphoria effects of a classic song washing over you. But I can’t stop here. See, when I was digging around for the lyrics, yeah I admit it…I didn’t know the wright words to  Bohemian Rhapsody either, I found some interesting information.

Bohemian Rhapsody Song Facts

  • The title of the song Bohemian Rhapsody means “free and unrestrained happiness” there…now you know.
  • Mercury may have written “Galileo” into the lyrics for the benefit of Brian May, who is an astronomy buff. Galileo is a famous astronomer known for being the first to use a refracting telescope.
  • This was Queen’s first Top 10 hit in the US. In the UK, where Queen was already established, it was #1 for 9 weeks, a record at the time.
  • Thanks to this track, A Night At The Opera was the most expensive album ever made at the time. They used 6 different studios to record it. Queen did not use any synthesizers on the album, which is something they were very proud of.
  • In 2002, this came in #1 in a poll by Guinness World Records as Britain’s favorite single of all time. John Lennon’s “Imagine” was #2, followed by The Beatles’ “Hey Jude.”

Over the years there has been some speculation as to what the words to Bohemian Rhapsody actually mean. The geeked out site wikipedia has this on Bohemian Rhapsody

The New York Times commented that “the song’s most distinct feature is the fatalistic lyrics”. Mercury refused to explain his composition other than saying it was about relationships; the band is still protective of the song’s secret. Brian May supports suggestions that the song contained veiled references to Mercury’s personal traumas. He recalls “Freddie was a very complex person: flippant and funny on the surface, but he concealed insecurities and problems in squaring up his life with his childhood. He never explained the lyrics, but I think he put a lot of himself into that song.” May, though, says the band had agreed that the core of a lyric was a private issue for the composer. In a BBC Three documentary about the making of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Roger Taylor maintains that the true meaning of the song is “fairly self-explanatory with just a bit of nonsense in the middle.”

It’s one of those songs which has such a fantasy feel about it. I think people should just listen to it, think about it, and then make up their own minds as to what it says to them… “Bohemian Rhapsody” didn’t just come out of thin air. I did a bit of research although it was tongue-in-cheek and mock opera. Why not?

—Freddie Mercury

Either way this song just rocks and now it’s your turn.

Health Warning WARNING! DO NOT wash your hair in the shower !!!

It’s so good to finally get a health warning that is actually useful !!!

I don’t know WHY I didn’t figure this out sooner!

I used to use shampoo in the shower all the time and of course when I did it ran down over my whole body …

However, printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning, “FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME.”

Well crap!  No wonder I have been gaining weight!

So I got rid of all that “fattening” shampoo and I am now showering with Dawn Dish washing Soap …

Problem solved!

End of Health Warning
